01

The municipal limit

The Comune di Venezia’s standard tariff sets a maximum of five passengers per boat. Pre-booked rides can arrange seating differently, so check how your chosen ticket handles a group.

02

Shared and private bookings

On a shared ride, you may travel alongside other visitors. Random seating can also split one booking across boats. If you’d like the gondola for your own party, look for a ticket that specifically says it is private.

03

If your party is larger

If you’re travelling as a larger group, ask how everyone will be seated before booking. Count children as passengers too, and follow the meeting instructions in your confirmation. The gondola ride guide explains the available formats.
