Board the boat in Venice and leave the city behind for Murano and Burano. Over a five-hour excursion, watch a glassmaker at work, discover Burano’s lace tradition and wander among brightly painted houses beside the canals. Your guide accompanies the journey across the lagoon, with time on the islands before the return to Venice.

At a glance
The experience
The boat leaves the city behind and carries you first to Murano. Watch a glassmaking demonstration before travelling on to Burano, where a lace demonstration introduces the island’s other craft. You also have time to walk among its canals and houses before the return crossing.
The guide and boat take care of the crossings, leaving you to focus on the two stops. Allow five hours for the whole excursion, including travel across the lagoon.

From arrival to finish
The full excursion takes five hours, including the crossings and island visits. Island order and demonstrations can change with local conditions.

Find your fit
The boat is chartered for the tour group. On the English small-group ticket, you travel with other guests, up to a maximum of 22. A separate semi-private choice has up to eight guests. Choose the smaller group if you prefer fewer fellow guests during the crossings and island visits.
The guided outing includes the boat journeys, a headset and the glass and lace demonstrations. Hotel pickup is not included.
Make it your visit
Choose this tour if you want to see both islands in one outing and would enjoy having the crossings arranged for you. Five hours gives the group time for both stops, but the timetable leaves less room to linger than a day spent exploring independently.
Your ticket
Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. These craft visits are demonstrations; they are not hands-on glass or lace workshops.

Before you set out
Use the precise meeting point on your confirmation, and allow time to find it before the departure. This outing involves walking and is unsuitable for guests with mobility impairments or wheelchair users. Baby strollers and large bags are not allowed.
From November to March, the lace demonstration may not be available on Mondays. Artisans work to their own schedules, so the order of the visits and demonstrations can change.

Yes. This guided boat tour visits Murano and Burano in five hours, with the lagoon crossings included. You return to Venice after the second island.
Murano is the stop for glassmaking; Burano offers a lace demonstration and time among its canals and houses. This tour visits both, so you can see the contrast for yourself.
Allow time for travel between Venice, Murano and Burano as well as for the islands themselves. The guided outing takes five hours in all. For a slower wander, make a separate visit on another day or travel independently.
Yes. The Murano stop includes a glassmaking demonstration. If you want to make something yourself, book a separate workshop.
Watching a glassmaking demonstration is worthwhile if the craft interests you and you want to see the process in person. It will not satisfy someone hoping to work with the glass themselves; that requires a workshop.
