How much time does it take to see Doge’s Palace?

There’s no single visit length: independent visitors set their own pace, while guided tours follow the duration shown for the selected option. Leave extra time for arrival and security.

01

A guided visit has a set schedule

The guided palace and basilica visit includes both sites, so its full duration covers more than time inside Doge’s Palace. Check the start and finish times for your date before planning the rest of the day.

02

An independent visit needs flexibility

When visiting on your own, you can set the pace. Some rooms will draw you in longer than others, so leave time for the parts you’re most looking forward to, along with arrival and security.

03

Avoid tight connections

If you have another booking later, leave room to walk there and settle in. And if you’d like to stay at the palace after the guided portion, check whether your ticket allows it.
