Renzo Fornasier
Renzo was born in Murano, Italy,
the island where the famous glassblowers
create unique glass masterpieces.
Renzo completed formal training
as a tour guide at The Technical
Institute of Francesco Algarotti
(an Institute for tourism and language
training in Venice, Italy). However,
Renzo decided to take a different
direction…he decided to open
his own ‘bomboniere’
company.
Bomboniere is a typical Italian
tradition that refers to confetti
and party favors used at weddings
and other special occasions. Renzo
was a bomboniere supplier!
Years later, he decided to utilize
his tourism training gained in the
past to re-enter into the tourism
industry. Renzo worked as a boat
captain on a traditional Venetian
fishing boat called, an “abragozzo”.
He conducted tours of the Venetian
lagoon and the famous islands of
Venice: Murano, Burano and Torcello
for six years. Then, Renzo met Lindsey
and, eventually, they got married.
Together, they launched Venice Events.
